Montrichard has several restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Nice walks along the river Cher. Just don't arrive on a Sunday afternoon, everything is shut. There are 2 Caves for wine tasting in the town. Amboise is a nice place to visit close by as are the Chateaux of the Loire valley. Montrichard is well located for visiting the surrounding area and the chateaux, The town had all that was needed and was a typical French town with plenty of cafes. Everyone we encountered were friendly and helpful. It is only a 5 minute walk into town so no need to take the car. A pretty medieval town, with plenty of shops and restaurants. The river Cher runs through the town and there's a river beach with facilities.
