Our stay at Château Cauderoue was a real delight. The beautiful Renaissance castle has an authentic atmosphere, surrounded by peace and nature. Our room was spacious and high-ceilinged, with elegant cotton bed linen, a light blanket, and a comfortable 160 × 200 cm bed. The bathroom was large and spotless, and we even had an extra sitting room - everything felt well cared for and serene. We were warmly welcomed with a drink on arrival and given a clear explanation and small tour of the château. Carol, the owner (and talented ceramic artist), was incredibly kind and helpful. Despite her limited English and our limited French, we communicated easily and had genuinely pleasant conversations. Her ceramic works, displayed throughout the house, add a beautiful artistic touch - and some pieces are available for purchase. Breakfast was excellent, with eggs cooked to order and fresh brioche instead of croissants. The saltwater pool was still open, even in the late season, and pool towels were thoughtfully provided. We also appreciated the offer to use the refrigerator and the comfortable outdoor seating areas with lovely views and fresh air from the open windows. The Wi-Fi connection worked very well throughout our stay. Merci beaucoup, Carol, pour votre gentillesse, votre hospitalité et votre magnifique maison - un vrai bijou rempli d’art et de charme !

We have stayed in many rooms in France, but this was the best of all. Unique decor everywhere (even a collectible Harley and a Solex decorate the interior hallway), pool, lovely courtyard, comfortable beds, excellent handmade breakfast and all this, just a few minutes (by car) from the lovely Nerac in which you will find restaurants, cafe, but also take beautiful walks next to the river and in town. Thank you very much and sincerely for a nice stay. We look forward to coming back again.

    The location was superb. Wonderful, copious, breakfasts served on the terrace, overlooking the river, will always be remembered. Our hosts were very welcoming and happy to suggest places for us to explore during our stay. The small town of Nérac and surrounding villages are full of history and well worth a visit. Amazing
