    We chose Orthez because it is halfway between Pau and...

    We chose Orthez because it is halfway between Pau and Bayonne and also handy for visiting Salies-le-Bearn. It's a nice, characterful old town with just enough shops, cafés and restaurants for a nice stay. There are two lakes nearby and a good cycle-path allows safe, easy access to the surrounding area by bike. The recommended restaurant, La Maison de l'Horloge was perfect.

    I think that the property should have been a hostel, it was horrific. I walked out due to the premises being abominable. I took pictures that I would like to send and I would definitely like my money returnees due to not staying at the hotel and having to move to another. This is definitely one I would tell no one to book.

    The large, light room was in the hosts’ beautiful old house right in the centre of Orthez. Free parking on the street outside or in a nearby carpark. A delicious breakfast served in the garden. Lovely hosts who made us welcome and gave useful information about the area, restaurants , etc.

    Reception area was very cozy during day at night. The hotel itself very well maintained, with the pool outside very clean and tidy and the padel court as well. The co working area very well settled with a small area for kids to draw and play.
