Peille village is very quiet generally, with local residents gathering in the small square at weekends. We went at the end of May and the three restaurants available weren't regularly open - it is best to check with the restaurants themselves around opening hours rather than relying on review sites such as Trip Advisor. We especially liked La Voute which specialises in crepes, in the form of pizzas and also sweet crepes. Tiny charming village.

Adorable, two-story apartment in renovated ancient house. Upstairs bedroom with sink and shower. Gorgeous mountain, valley and sea view from small balcony. Living room has sleeping sofa and kitchen is fully equipped. Very small toilet on half-landing off of entrance staircase. Great internet. Wonderful host. We were sent to the wrong house with online directions and had to contact someone to help us as nobody spoke English in Peille. Would’ve of liked to know it was a good walk from the carpark in advance. The house was cute clean and we loved the view and balcony. Ideal place to unwind. We wanted to get away from the crowds in Nice and we certainly managed to do that in Peille and at La Vela. We took a taxi from Nice but on our way back we had to take a bus.
