Great stay, very helpful and friendly staff, managed to let us stay even though I had booked the wrong day and arrived a day after I should have! Very kindly didn't charge us more than we had already paid and were understanding ;-)

What a find! Beautiful location, with some unique lodgings. A magical fairytale of a place. Staff were utterly gorgeous- one even showed me and my very excited children round the tree house- as she happened to have stayed there herself that night. They were also very flexible around arrival time. We visited at 9am to get our bearings, then went off to Puy du Fou for the day, and returned at 11:30pm. Breakfast was a delightful surprise- a beautiful picnic hamper filled with goodies. We stayed in the bungalow tent- felt like being at the Tri-Wizard Cup:)- and enjoyed looking around at the more unusual accommodations. I took my elderly parents and my little children, and everyone was equally enraptured with this wonderful place. Will definitely be back, for a longer stay next time. Proximity to Puy du Fou (also wonderful) was perfect.

Perfect stop for our visit to Puy du Fou about 20 min drive away. Hosts are welcoming and a typical french breakfast is plentiful. The house is still very much in theme with the 1914 build, a lovely charm as you are taken back in time.

    We went to visit Puy de Fou but I'm really sorry we didn't spend a day in Pouzauges itself. It's a lovely little town, with old winding streets, a Chateau - churches. And believe it or not the best Thai food I've ever eaten - we only wanted a late night snack because the teens were hungry but we ended up trying dish after dish from the buffet.

    We were in the area to visit friends, and Pouzauges was a good location for that and for going to the Puy du Fou. We liked the fact that the Boule d'Or was not in a chain and had history (our friends knew it from schooldays). The restaurant was very good, though shut on 3 out of our 4 evenings there so we were only able to eat there once. Breakfast was good.

    Our hostess treated us like family and was always ready to help. She gave us all the information we needed about the Puy du Fou and other points of interest. We enjoyed the pool and the beautiful grassy area. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We wish all the hotels and B&Bs were like that.

    Cute local hotel in a cute little town. Well located for visiting Puy du Fou. Very clean and comfortable. Stuff is very friendly. The room was quite small for a family, but was enough for us. Simple breakfast. Overall great value for money.
