Fantastic and exceptional service shown by the staff. The rooms are large and each has aircon. The staff also turned it on ahead of us for our arrival which was much appreciated as we were travelling during a heatwave. We were on a cycle tour and travelling on bicycles and the hotel accommodated these well. The restaurant has two menu options - French and Vietnamese. They were both fantastic and I recommend eating at the restaurant when staying there. The breakfast has all options available and for those who are cycling I can also say it is fantastic! Lastly one of our booking party couldn't make it and even though we had pre-paid the rooms, and I never requested a refund, the owner of the hotel insisted on organising the refund and the service he provided was exceptional.

The room was fantastic and had much needed air con. We asked to stay 2 extra nights and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They even moved ours bags for us whilst we were out when we asked to stay the extra nights into an available room. The location is beautiful and parking just across the road. Fantastic experience staying here.

We had a lovely short break at La Scierie and couldn't recommend it more. The bed was very comfortable, and the showers and breakfast were great. The hosts are friendly and discreet and did everything possible to make sure we felt welcome.

Wow, one of the best stays we had. View from the room amazing (to town square and church l), room decoration authentic with all needed facilities. Breakfast was good, local products like cheese, bread, spreads. Owner was very helpful, giving advices were to go for dinner.

Exceptional opportunity to stay in a castle that demonstrated life in a bygone age. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The restaurant was excellent. We ordered the chef's full tasting menu our first night. We ordered the tasting menu again the second night so the chef prepared a completely different meal for us. Both dinners were amazing.

    Quillan is right in the heart of Cather country.

    Quillan is right in the heart of Cather country. The town itself is a bit run down and unkempt but some lovely restaurants and bars and a nice vibe about it. Most of the shop owners must be used to visitors as they all speak some English and most are very pleasant.

    We enjoyed visiting gorges, Cather castles and abbeys and walkings and driving in beautiful nature . We ate our dinner at Chamiere hotel and other hotel restaurant that served classic french course meals with very reasonable prices.

    We are a family with 2 kids and the town and the house was perfect for us. The rooms were comfortable and the front yard useful for kids to play a little bit. The town is really well located: it has everything you need (cultural activities, supermarkets, great hikings), 30 minutes from a fantastic lake in Belaire, 30 minutes from Limoux. Marc and Sylvie, who live nearby, were extremely kind and help us to feel comfortable during our stay.

    The bed was very comfortable. There were many interesting places to visit, combining with lovely walks & beautiful scenery drives. There were quite few restaurants near by that served classic french course meals with very reasonable prices and they were excellent.
