Renees is an industrial city and not somewhere I'd stay for a holiday. Made worse as demonstrations were on whilst we were there and it didn't feel particularly safe. Good location to return to Paris by TGV after looking around Normandy and Mont Saint Michel.

Great spot to stay if you want to drive to Saint Malo or Mont Saint Michel, very nice town, bubbly student life and little spots to drink or eat. One day is enough but a great spot to move around if you rent a car. It's very close if you take a train from Paris.

One of the least interesting places in France in my opinion.

One of the least interesting places in France in my opinion. Only worth staying for a day or two tops. The Saturday farmers market was amazing and so too Parc de Thabor! The Sunday flea market was not worth getting up for.

There was mold on the bedroom ceiling.

There was mold on the bedroom ceiling. I have mold allergies. I slept on the couch. Initially they said they would look into it when we left. It was the 2nd out of 5 days. They did have it cleaned up. There was mold on the inside frame of the entrance door. The toilet paper is on a garbage can. There is no soap dish on the bathroom vanity. Poor lighting in the main room. Advertised outdoor furniture was not available. Washing machine was broken. No tumble dryer as advertised. This was a reason we chose this accomodation. No Engish instructions how to use any appliances including the heaterm Lots if space, convenient location, good parking and a good shower.

The museum in the Champes Libres and art gallery, Beaux-Arts...

The museum in the Champes Libres and art gallery, Beaux-Arts were brilliant. Check out the market on Saturdays and buy some delicious French produce. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, not just French, and will fit any budget, as ever a few words of French will go a long way here. Thabor park is beautiful and well worth a walk and the cathedral is worth a visit Rennes is ideally situated for exploring this part of Brittany, we found the traffic busy but manageable

Rennes is old market town with many old builfdings some seem to be defying gravity other leaning heavily on their neghbours for support. The old town is quite extensive and is great for ambling around , on the edge of the old town is the river and a canal. The Thabor park is a gem well kept with a great variety . Renne is well located for trains and buses toi other places in brittany - Mont St michel , St Mlalo , and the lovley little town of Vitres are all about an hour away by public transport.

We arrived by train from CDG Airport after a 24 hour flight from Sydney, so the location 100 metres from the Rennes Station was fantastic . The staff were very helpful, especially Kevin on reception.. The city centre was a nice walk away, what a grand city Rennes is. The breakfast was great. The loose leaf tea with your own pot was a highlight. Loved our short stay

We had a very warm welcome and a lovely comfortable and quiet room. The staff were always helpful, cheerful and efficient. The hotel is very close to the centre of Rennes and also not far from the railway station. It definitely deserves more than the '2-star' rating it currently has. We will definitely stay here again.

In the old town , walking distance for pretty much everything, bus stop for the airport right outside the main hotel. Spotlessly clean, quiet and a very comfortable bed. Restaurants are very close by . All you could wish for really, will definitely stay there on our next visit to Rennes.

This is a lovely traditional French hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It is perfectly located for a late arrival or early departure by train, and an easy pleasant walk to the pretty historic centre of Rennes.
