It's the perfect basic hotel at the right price, with nice gardens, on the outskirts of Chinon, 3km. Lovely couple, 3 lovely cats and a dog. Top notch rooms with hard flooring (ie. clean) Will be back.

Eugene and I cannot thank Stephane and Gaultier enough for their kindness, hospitality and superb accommodation. It was like being greeted by your favourite friends after a long journey. The attention to detail in comfort and design was exceptional . A perfect marriage between French finesse and contemporary class with a generous helping of creative personality. The heated pool welcomed us on arrival with a cold glass of wine and beer. The restaurant reservation overlooking the Loire with a hot air balloon ascending was magical . We slept on a cloud of linen with a superb breakfast selection of local and homemade fayre but then discovered the car air conditioning wasn't working so Stephan introduced us to a wonderful mechanic who took all the panic out of our next 5 hour journey as the heat rose to 37 degrees. A fantastic start to our adventures in France after a longggggg time .

What a magnificent property in an amazing location! You enter through gates to a spectacular garden and conveniently positioned parking. When you go through the front door, you are faced with a magnificent staircase (I'm a carpenter and wood nerd, and actually booked this location partly because of the staircase) The room we used was fabulous, with views across the garden. Very comfortable bed, etc. Breakfast was delicious. I'd happily stay here again.

I would surely say this is the best place I’ve ever stayed! Bertrand and Samira are very responsive and intelligent couple. It was really difficult to leave from their beautiful house. Over any expectations! I could write a short essay about this experience, but you better try yourselves.

    The hosts are very prompt in replying to messages , efficient , and friendly to deal with . We loved the quiet location, lovely house with all we needed. The beds were super comfy, amazing shower. The village is beautiful , trees , the river Loire within easy walking distance . We would recommend to couples, families . We loved the rural location . Chinon is 20 mins drive , great pizza restaurant , market on Thursday , which is very busy and worth a visit . Several chateaux’s to visit , beautiful gardens . It is just a lovely place to stay . Car is essential , but trains go daily from Chinon to Tours

    Top places to visit in Rigny - Usse is the Chateau D'Ussé and Chateau Langeais with beautiful gardens. Great restaurant for dinner is just 14km away from the accomodation in Chinon city. Our favourite restaurant is Les Pierres Rebelaisie in the center. Next time a would like to go for horseriding at the Equestrian Center L'escapade.

    Cottage attached to a farm, in a quiet location 2 km from nearest village with small shop, restaurant and snack bar. Simple facilities, but everything we needed and very clean and comfortable. Easy reach of lots of chateaus.
