It's simply wonderful.
It's simply wonderful. The town is just the right size, not too big yet not too small. All the facilities are within walking distance. There are lots of bars, reataurants and shops, including supermarkets. The beach is great, too. It's not overcrowded. Quite little place.
Quite little place. Lovely people, cute farmers corner in the center of town, fresh fish market at the dock. Lovely restaurants. Prao beach is the best. The price for whole day (lunch, drinks and sun beads) for family of 3 is 200-250 euros. Sainte Maxime, having been there many times, actually puts Sainte Tropez in the shadows (ofcourse you can get Le Bateau Vert to St. Tropez from the port for a daily excursion). The port area and street scene on the main route through are just stunning. The cafes are well serviced and the price is not prohibitive. The atmosphere is that of fun with relaxation and a stress free environment. Busy but does not feel overcrowded. The little white train is a must for history buffs, plus its just an enjoyable way to see around the place. Never visited a bad restaurant yet and would suggest La Maison Bleu, Cafe Maxime, The Peanut Cafe (vegan and vegetarian) but to be fair they are all excellent. Stay at either the Little Prince Hotel or one of the Best Western Premier Montfleuri / Matisse and you will not be disappointed. Fantastic golf club also for those budding Rorys. He showed us to our room, the facilities and gave us all the information we needed. We were able to park our motorbikes securely as well. In the morning, we were served a tasty breakfast on the terrace with local specialties as well as coffee and freshly pressed orange juice.
