    Salernes is a wonderful old town that we have visited many...

    Salernes is a wonderful old town that we have visited many times before. The main square is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops and a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. The market on Sunday morning is a must do, with stalls selling a huge range of local produce and all those lovely Provencal things to take home as souvenirs - lavender, soaps, tea-towels table cloths etc. There is a wonderful natural bathing area at La Muie and we really enjoyed wandering around the old town with its old fountains dotted everywhere - very picturesque! There is a small but good supermarket in the main square and several other supermarkets on the way out of the town. Normally we visit in the summer. At May half-term, it was much quieter which was lovely in some respects but did mean that not all the restaurants were open. Cafe des Vignes was excellent with a varied menu and huge portions.

    We loved the sympathetically designed converted tile factory. We adore quirky converted places and this was done very well. It was beautiful and very clean. Also a great location to do and see many lovely parts of the South of France. It had everything we could have wanted and there were some lovely touches included. The owners were super friendly and gave us a very warm welcome and were sweet enough to say goodbye. We would highly recommend a stay here.

    nice appartement overlooking the village of salernes, but only 5 minutes walk away. An outdoor place in the garden beneath olive trees. The appartement is tastefully furnished and well equipped. Very friendly and helpful hosts. A perfect place for excursions to culturai highlights like abbaye de Thoronet or just to enjoy the beautiful southern landscape. Many possibilities for cicle tours - the host is expert to show you the best routes.

    Amazing house with a lovely view. Walking distance to Salernes centre. The host was really helpful with suggestions what to visit nearby. House is perfect for a family or a small group, large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. Plenty of space sitting outside. The swimming pool is a great addition to cool down when it's hot.
