Souillac is a handy stop on a long drive north or south through France as it is very close to the A20. Really exceptional place - the hosts went over and above...
Really exceptional place - the hosts went over and above what you would expect. The cycling related rooms, themes and inspired antique furniture made for an interesting and informative stay - we browsed the posters and pictures for hours. Food in the cafe was very good - with combination of locals and tourists all welcome to enjoy the social spaces. Hosts also helped with our touring around plans and information about other local sites and ammenities. Will be returning again! We ate out in the nearby town - about a 5 min walk from the house - really good quality in both restuarants and music both nights! There is a very good small restaurant along the way also. The staff are still lovely and efficient, the pool is still a bonus, breakfast is still fantastic value. The room came with a kettle and balcony and the bathroom was huge. Lovely room for family of 4 great pool which we had to ourselves on the second day, it was 36 degrees. There is a bar near the pool which the hotel ran from 5 to 8. There is a restaurant near the hotel but the centre of town is 15 minutes walk.
