An interesting town with a history surrounding a castle with a drawbridge and moat (now filled in), Stayed in Surgéres for one night but hope to return when the festivals are on from mid July onwards. For a beautiful old hotel they had thought about the little modern touches - lots of plug sockets, large TV, quality soaps and shower gels. Onsite private parking was welcomed. The pool in the traditional French garden with its fruit trees was fantastic. The breakfast was a lovely continental breakfast with homemade blueberry muffins.
