Use of a pool just made our stay so relaxing. Walk in shower was good for me as I have mobility issues. Room in the Pavilion was a great size. Try the restaurant for dinner, it's excellent and not too expensive. Hotel grounds are so peaceful and makes it a lovely place to have a walk. There is a tennis court which I saw guests using. Hotel bar and lounge is a nice area to have a drink and relax. The whole hotel gives an air of relaxation. Breakfast is served in the restaurant area. Tilques is a small village - it is in the outskirts of St Omer and very well placed for a trip to or from Calais. There are a very few shops, but it's only a few minutes drive into Saint Omer, which is a large town with supermarkets, restaurants, etc. It is an ideal place for walking or cycling through country lanes.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Excellent staff, very comfortable and well kept hotel. My only comment is I would like more vegetarian options in the restaurant, there was only 1 option (which was excellent) but I’d rather not eat the same thing twice in a row. I expect if I’d have asked they would have prepared something different as everyone was super helpful, but I think with more people now eating less meat it should be standard on the menu to have a few choices.Guest review byRachelSwitzerland - 4.0

A beautiful location and building let down by poor staff manning and not being able to eat in the restaurant, despite calling early that day. We booked the hotel on route home because my wife had broken her foot and we wanted somewhere to stay where we could rest and eat and not have to travel out. The setting was beautiful, the buildings were in great condition and very attractive. The rooms are small and functional. Great for a short break perhaps too small for a longer-term stay. The food in the hotel is worth travelling for, the menu had a good selection of dishes and was so well prepared and presented. The chef is to be congratulated. The waiting and bar staff were exceptionally friendly and patient with poor french speakers! A difficult review to write as there is so much to like about this hotel. The room, no.1 was small but well appointed and comfortable. The cheese and cold meat board available from the bar in the evening was excellent and the breakfast was good, well cooked hot food along with a cold varied buffet.
