Valmorel is a pretty resort with great places to eat and drink. Great selection of shops and the skiing for the end of March up high was great. For beginners this time of year I wouldn’t recommend as the snow was awful from 1650 down. Top of Biolene was nice & top of Madeline. Tip of the morel wasn’t great for some reason by lunchtime Friday it was slushy and thick at 2200m high. Valmorel was a very lovely area to be in.
Valmorel was a very lovely area to be in. The village area was lovely to go out in at night and there was a good number of restaurants to choose from. Although you had to book to be able to get a table for when you wanted it. It was good that staying in the local hotel, you also got a discount from certain restaurants. The communication was good and quite easy. The apartment was also in a nice spot with a beautiful view and next to the lift/piste so you could actually put your skis on and ski directly. We had the best experience at L’Oxygène - superb food, service and rooms. It was clear they held themselves to far higher standards than your run of the mill B&B and we were the lucky beneficiaries!
