I stayed here with my partner for 4 nights in September as part of an anniversary trip. Start to finish everything here was flawless! It's the best of both worlds -- the attention and services of a hotel with the comfort and relaxed setting of an apartment rental. Service: We were greeted immediately in the parking lot and given a tour of the room and facilities. Before your stay you get access to their guest portal where you can instant message staff, book things like massage, meals, etc.l The guest portal has guides to your room and recommendations for the area, all at your fingertips. They have guides in English for literally everything, e.g. how to work the towel heater or dish washer in your room. Such attention to detail! They also had a hand written note in our room welcoming us. Check-in and check-out and payments were a breeze, there is no key -- your door is locked by a key pad. Everyone we encountered at the spa and wine bar were so nice. Shout outs to the woman (sorry I didn't catch her name) who gave us a free taste of walnut liquor at the bar to try. Room: We were in room 201 which was perfect for us because it is private and away from the other rooms. It was very quiet and conveniently located next to one of the pools. There is a small outdoor seating area which we enjoyed. Everything is immaculately clean and modern with comforts of home. The design of the kitchen and decor in general is really beautiful and minimalist chic. TV had many international channels to enjoy, plus there is chrome cast. The kitchenette was perfect for us because there are no restaurants walking distance and 2 of the nights we were tired from sightseeing and didn't feel like going out for dinner. So instead we could buy groceries (there is a Carrefour 8 mins drive away and every day of the week one of the nearby towns has a market) and eat in our room.

The interior of the Chateau was spotlessly clean and modern. The hotel manager spoke flawless English and was ready to answer any requests we had, and to arrange dinner reservations for us. Everything in the place was of top quality. We were told that renovations had been done less than a year previously. The manager greeted us personally upon arrival, gave us a tour of the key features of the house and grounds, and a brief history of the place. She then provided complimentary beverages to enjoy, followed by showing us our room and it's features. We were treated like nobility, everything was first class!

Hidden gem. Almost hesitant to give it a good review because no doubt prices will skyrocket next season. They act as a hotel d’etappe, but you can easily spend a week here to explore the region. Which I did. Staff are friendly, pools (!) are perfect, grounds extremely well kept. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. All in all a bit thumbs up from me and I will return.

Charming and comfortable — we felt at home right away. The house is clean and spacious, right in the centre of a delightful village. The hosts are wonderfully welcoming and friendly. We especially enjoyed the restaurant serving local specialties with warm, attentive service. Worth going to, even if you’re not a guest. Very highly recommended.

A convenient location just five minutes from St Cyprien. Although close to a busy road we heard no traffic noise from our room or the pool area. The property is in quite a central location for exploring the Dordogne by car. Christoph and Marina are very amenable hosts, whose intention was obviously to make our stay totally enjoyable. We had a very nice lunch at their restaurant, and while we didn’t use this service lighter meals (which looked nice and of generous size) were delivered to some other guests. The bed was amazing, the most comfortable bed I have slept in on several overseas trips!

Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Water didn't work in the allocated room. The receptionist went to great lengths to try to resolve the problem, before it was realised that the issue was village wide and not just the room. Very good breakfast.

    Veyrine-de-Domme doesn’t have too much to offer.

    Veyrine-de-Domme doesn’t have too much to offer. However there are plenty of other villages near by with plenty of boulangeries restaurants and smaller supermarkets, while Sarlat with a LeClerc and Intermarche is 20 minutes away. We used the vets on the V-d-D side of Sarlat who spoke English and were used to the Animal Health Certificate the British need for their animals to re-enter the UK.

    The house is set in a hamlet outside Veyrines-de-Domme.

    The house is set in a hamlet outside Veyrines-de-Domme. We did not go into Veyrines-de-Domme itself, the restaurant Doma was recommended to us but we didn't find the time to visit it. Bearing in mind we were travelling with small children, we visited Chateau de Milandes -the Bird of Prey Display was excellent and the Josephine Baker displays in the castle fascinating. Artisanal ice cream at Glacier de la Promenade on La Roque-Gageac was delicious. Sarlat market is well worth a visit. The Zoological Reserve Calviac was a huge success with many Madagascan animals none of us had seen before. The views from Domme across the valley were great as they were from the Marqueyssac gardens.
