The apartment is gorgeous and we had a fantastic, relaxing stay. The terrace was wonderful for eating, drinking and chilling in the evenings with beautiful decoration and lighting. The hosts Caroline and Herve have thought about lots of extra details to make the the stay really perfect. It is a 5 min walk into the village where there are bakeries, cheese shop, deli and a couple of restaurants/ bars. The surrounding area has walks and wineries.

Fantastic stopover. We stayed for 1 night but wished for longer. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. Perfect for the kids (9 and 12) swimming pool lovely, great play park with games, go karts, bouncy castle. Brilliant

We really appreciated everything, from the spontaneous warm welcome and disponibility of our hosts, the comfort of our bedrooms, the spotless bathroom and the shared kitchen and sitting room. The welcome pack in each room was an unexpected plus, as was the well equipped kitchen with its coffee machine. We extended our stay to 3 nights and would have been delighted to have stayed even longer. There was a lovely relaxed ambiance with shared conversations with the other guests around the huge communal dining table on the terrace. This is a place to be highly recommended, very quiet but not far from the motorway and within 20 minutes of the vineyards of the Graves and Sauternes areas.

This is a hidden gem property, with unique rooms and amenities, wonderful location and premises, and lovely and friendly host. The owner provided great recommendations for activities in the area. The B&B is located in a idilic location, you will hear the church bells and the birds singing in the morning. For us it was the perfect location to disconnect and relax. Totally recommended!

Beautiful place, and Richard (the owner) is a lovely guy with a great vibe. It's the nicest place I've stayed in France and I wish I could have stayed for a few days rather than one night. The house is super chic and next to it is a bubbling stream and lovely rolling gardens He let me use his washing machine, no charge. He is upstairs, the accommodation is downstairs comprising of a stunning bathroom, light and airy bedroom and very cool kitchen. I was given free range and was alone. My motorcycle was parked outside my window. Stunning.

    Super setting, small hotel facing onto a small square In a lovely village in French wine country.. Really comfortable bed. Room had super view over front of hotel. Excellent hand prepared food, beautifully served. Delicious breakfast with fresh warm croissants. In the town you can walk to a medieval castle. For keen cyclists there are lots of cycle paths and quiet roads. For the wine lovers, Sauternes and other AOC are a short trip away,

    The hotel is situated in the centre of Villandraut, a French town with ancient castle. The hotel itself is old but has been modernised and outdoor seating and tables are in the tree lined square. It is a family run hotel and the owner is also a highly qualified chef. The hotel prides itself on buying everything from small local suppliers. Guests eat very well indeed!

    We needed a place to stay urgently after another place cancelled on us last minute. So, we found this little hotel very late in the evening and it was very flexible with the arrival/check-in process for which we were grateful. We were able to pay at the hotel after our breakfast. The breakfast was great!

    We had a great time at La Cordonnerie. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast and specially the couple of hosts who receive the guests demonstrated a real talent and care for the guest, giving suggestions of restaurants and telling us about the history of the small and charming city of Villandraut.
