Appeared to be a welcoming and inclusive community. Lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Very dog friendly. The only let down was the Pier which looks in urgent need of some maintenance. It is a grand structure that could be a huge tourist draw card and amazing legacy for the town. It was lovely to see the starlings coming in at dusk to rest under the pier. We enjoyed walking around the neighbourhoods, the friendliness of locals, nice range of pubs and excellent meals. We enjoyed walking thru the fields behind the top of Constitution Hill (furnicular). We spent lovely half a day at the National Library and surrounds. Beach and promenade is lovely and especially around the spit beyond the castle. Beautiful view, captivating scenery with local hikes and walks available. I loved the ride on the steam train from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge. I liked the town, the castle, and promenade. We had a lovely walk through the town! Research where to eat. We had fish and chips on the pier very dry and tasted lick cardboard. And went for a pizza at a pizza cafe it was terrible. But on the whole we enjoyed our stay!Guest review bySargant Mladezic

We were given alternative accommodation and offered the chance to move on the second night. The property is managed by a hotel Four Seasons in Aberystwyth. We went to look at this property and firstly the pool is FREEZING - unusable and the only reason we booked the property. It is leaking and being constantly filled up with a hose pipe from the garden.
