The hotel was very nice, checking in was very efficient, all of the staff were friendly and attentive. We did not use the restaurant in the evening but the breakfast next morning was very good, served by a very friendly and efficient waitress. There was a good selection of cereals , juices etc. The full English breakfast was well cooked and made with quality ingredients. The pub has a timeless elegance with original features that create a cosy atmosphere. The room was a blend of old-world and funky modern comfort. The staff were friendly and attentive and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. From large fluffy towels, quality bed linen, toiletries through to all types cooking and serving utensils. For us though, it’s the hosts themselves- so kind, helpful and thoughtful.
