Being from the USA, European public transportation is far superior. Which brings me to the massive and CLEAN train station in Belfast. Super polite people. It's super easy getting around the clean city. Busses everywhere and anywhere you want to go. Growing and improving city with lots to do...just Google it; eat, walk, sight-see, history, tours and a plethora of cheap to expensive places to stay. This is a world destination spot IMO. Spent one night in Belfast for event at Custom House Square. Stayed in Ramada by Wyndham which was so convenient, within walking distance of so many places. Recommend eating at Andhra Bhavan. It's authentic south Indian food. I ordered the mixed sharing platter (Thali) with one other person. It was 34euro altogether and was the size of our table! So much food and everything was delicious. There was something for everyone's taste. Cannot rate this more highly and the staff were great and place is comfortable. We walked in with no booking and only had to wait 2mins to be seated. You can visit St Georges Market with a yummy smoothie from the Juice Jar. If you are travelling up from the republic, stop into Espresso 54 in Newry for fantastic coffee and a black-pudding sausage roll! Take a look at the Craigmore Viaduct while you are there. If you want some messy, greasy soakage after a night out, head to Pablos, open till 1am. Great vibe, kind staff and some cool music. We ticked off many of our bucket list items Giants Causway and Titanic but most surprising was the political black cab tours which i would recommend to everyone. The public transport system is excellent, apart from Bus221 service which runs every hour to The Giant Causeway. We planned to get back at 14.10hrs., but it was cancelled and we had to take a 15.30 hrs bus. The Giant is a tourism spot. The bus stand should have electrical board display of schedules and notification. We loved the National Trust property at Mount Stewart and...
We loved the National Trust property at Mount Stewart and found the guides so friendly and full of information and it was a beautiful place to visit inside and out. We also loved visiting the Dark Hedges and we found a beautiful book in the apartment to look at and bought our own copy as we liked it so much. We found the park that was Narnia themed due to CS Lewis being born in Belfast, we are great Narnia fans so we loved finding this. We also loved an evening at the Opera House, it’s a beautiful venue.Guest review byFuller
