I would say that the stay AT the liver view was exceptional And you feel like you're home. Brilliamt family run hotel that i reccomend to everyone with an exceptional breakfast cooked by Dave And served by his loving mother. The rooms Are' comftable clean And quite.

Check-in was very straightforward. The house was exceptionally comfortable, spotlessly clean, and felt just like home. I especially loved the fantastic kitchen and the beautiful bath. Communication with the owner was excellent – very pleasant, respectful, and helpful.

Phil and Paul are very friendly, polite and helpful. The room was immaculate, tea/coffee and bottled water was provided and the bed was super comfy. Everything you could possibly need is literally 2 mins around the corner including shops, cafes, hair dressers, launderette, pubs, Chinese, Indian, kebab house, Dominos the list goes on. Arrowe Park hospital is a 20 minute stroll away which was fantastic as I was there to support my mum through an operation and her recovery. I sometimes got a taxi back due to long, tiring days which was 3-5 mins tops.

The hotel is perfectly situated minutes from Liverpool one. Tastefully decorated it feels warm and classy. Food menu was limited but everything we ate was delicious. The rooms were smart, clean and comfortable. The real shining star of the trip was the hotel Staff. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. It was our first stay at the Halyard and we can’t wait to return.

The hotel was lovely. Clean and very spacious room, the staff was kind and pleasant. Excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from all the attractions of the city center. I will definitely go back there on my next visit to Liverpool.

    i enjoy viewing architecture & art, so the old buildings whether occupied or abandoned I find interesting to check out. I was total self sufficient with my food so did not eat out locally. Birkenhead & its adjacent districts are fairly well sign posted. Satnav is good. but without postal codes, mistakes can be made with journeys to wrong places.

    After requesting parking spaces, we arrived to find not just no private parking at the location but any parking on the street had to paid for, so be wary of this - there is NO parking available, if the spaces are all filled up. Also, after highlighting there was no heating, the owner said I should have called him to ask about it, which I wasn't going to do after initially calling him to explain about lack of wifi/smart TV. so I would suggest some basic instructions on where to find and how to operate the heating to be printed up and left in the kitchen, so future guests can turn it on themselves and not be cold through the night, like we were.

    Some areas are a little run down.

    Some areas are a little run down. I loved the town hall where we attended a wedding. The gardens in Hamilton square were lovely as were the properties. Excellent transport links to the Wirral and Liverpool.

    Where we stayed it was within easy reach of a lovely walk a long the front by the Mersey going all the way to New Brighton. It's about 2.5 miles but on a summer's evening well worth doing as there is plenty of entertainment and restaurants in New Brighton. It provides a great base to explore Liverpool and Chester.

    A quiet area and a bit neglected but some beautiful architecture and some good places to visit. We enjoyed an open mic night at THE SWINGING ARM, a meal at the lovely vegan eatery JORO, and the Woodside Village stalls at the weekend. We also visited Birkenhead Park which inspired Central Park New York but found it rather shabby.

    Close proximity to Seacombe Pier for easy access going to the other side. Good bus service too. David cooks a mean breakfast aided and abetted with his mother. Both very helpful with giving advice on how to get the best out of our trip. Busy weekend for them as it was the final match for Liverpool F.C. and the parade the following day. Need to revisit as lots still to do and see.

    - great contact with the owner - quiet neighbourhood - located close to the Merseyrail Station - Liverpool can be reached within 10-15 minutes, same goes for New Brighton. - free parking in the street in front of the house - house is well equipped and comfortable (all you need in the kitchen, including tea, coffee, sugar; iron, washing machine)

    The display and design of the rooms were as shown in pictures. The host, Mark has been absolutely amazing and very helpful!! As an outsider to Liverpool I have really enjoyed my stay, very close to the centre by train (4 stops from Rock Ferry) and I totally recommend it!! I, for sure, will be back!!
