The room was great overall! It had a good size and was very clean. The bathroom was the best part however (spacious with big shower). The room had a private garden, but it was cold and rainy during our stay, so unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it. There was an electric kettle, coffee/tea provided, hairdryer. The hotel has a great location and is around 40 min on foot/ 20 min with the bus from the old town. Many small shops and cafes in the areas as well. The cleaning lady was very kind.

I loved the property, it's a beautiful place. Food was amazing, room was comfortable. Most importantly one of the best team of staff members I have ever encountered. It was my wife's birthday; staff made sure her day was special even when we were vacationing away from friends and family.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Ceilidh-Donia! Kevin was very helpful giving us tips on buses and where to go, the beds were very comfortable and we got an excellent breakfeast every day. The room was super clean and cozy. It felt like a taste of real Scotland :)

Excellent location, great Wi-Fi and bed to rest. Hotel restaurant was awesome, witg great breakfast and dinner options. Congratulations to the whole hotel staff, people there were very polite and respectful. I felt like I was at home while spending some time there. I will definetely visit it back again.

I've a wonderful stay at The Scholar. The room was amazingly comfortable, and the shower was perfect. Breakfast had good options on menu and many pastries, juices, yogurt. The Hotel is located near a bus stop that can lead you to any place in Edinburgh. The hotel staff was truly kind and prompt to help. I would definitely recommend to someone who is planning to visit Edinburgh.

    Good quiet location but not much in Bonnyrigg or the surrounding towns. Handy for Edinburgh and Lothian coastal resorts. For us must see was nearby Roslin Chapel. Only nuisance was traffic on bypass at the nearest junctions.

    The hotel is an excellent combination between a historical building and spa service. It is a beautiful place to go and disconnect for a weekend near Edinburgh. The orangery restaurant has an excellent selection of food and drink; if they know in advance, they adapt to your food requirements. The spa is small but offers a good range of offers. Finally the have a hidden gem, the library if you have time try to take tea or a drink there!!!!

    Beautiful castle hotel, amazing room biggest iv ever stayed in! So comfortable and had everything we needed. Amazing breakfast with great selection for everyone. Staff were amazingly helpful and made the whole experience amazing. Would definitely come back
