Location is good; just 5 mins walk from the river. It’s clean and cosy, though a little cold in winter nights. Amenities in the kitchen and bathroom are adequate. Comfortable bed and linen. Check-in instruction was clear. It’s a three storey apartment with a small attic hence some climbing up and down

Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do.

Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do. Would recommend Smiths Burgers and the Dragonfly Maze. Easy to walk round and near to other places, such as Stow-on-the-Wold if you wanted to go further afield. Would have liked to have seen the Model Village but you couldn't take dogs in. Got a bit too busy for us in the afternoons but we still had a good time.

Very busy, but well worth the effort.

Very busy, but well worth the effort. So much to see and do not only in Bourton but also the surrounding countryside. There are ample venues for food and drink, shopping is on another level. Model village, car museum, bird park are must dos. Upper and Lower Slaughter are just unmissable places to visit (get there before 10:30 am as parking is scarce. The Old new inn, does a great Sunday roast and Mrs Rolts and the Croft for breakfast and lunch.

Bourton is a beautiful place, although suffers as a result as it's very busy. There are some good food and drink options, although the majority of shops seem to offer the same tourist-trap tat. Come in the off-season.

Bourton on the Water is one of the prettiest little places we’ve visited. The village is clean. The buildings are neat. The shops and eateries are interesting. The clear, shallow Windrush stream flowing through it with its lively flock of ducks is captivating and the footbridges across the stream and paths beside it make the whole experience of the village very special.

Lovely old village, lots of small businesses and eateries.

Lovely old village, lots of small businesses and eateries. Very picturesque and well sited for exploration of the Cotswolds. Lovely antique shops and a candle shop were my favourite with the Motor Museum a close second. Walking along the riverbank in the evening was very relaxing. The village is easy to get around but there are a lot of tourists which could make using a mobility scooter hard work - lots of seats along the riverbank.

The staff at Chester house hotel were fantastic, they were all very helpful and friendly. the room was lovely very large and had all we needed, the bed was very large and comfy. We went here to start our honeymoon, and had a lovely stay in Bourton on water. we had dinner at the hotels Italian resultant and the food was amazing we had the tapas style dishes all of which were delicious. the breakfast in the morning was very good, we had pastry's and then a full English each, one veggie one full and both were very good.

We had the perfect few days in Bourton on the Water and the Cotswolds thanks to our stay at Halford House. It couldn't be closer to the centre of the village but as soon as you walk through the gate into the walled garden, you enter a relaxed setting and beautiful accommodation. The owner, Donna, was there to greet us on arrival and made us feel immediately welcome and at home. Parking is free on-site, which is a big bonus, as in peak season parking in the village is tricky. Highly recommended.

Jules and Tony are excellent hosts, very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The location is just right, away from the main town itself but only a 10 min walk into the centre and main attractions like the model village and motor museum. One of the other advantages of a b&b over a hotel is having a breakfast freshly cooked to order. Would certainly recommend to anyone for a trip to the Cotswolds.

Quite disappointed breakfast was not included I was billed at the end, but did not expect it. That made the room nearly £500 for only 3 nights, I could have stayed in a 5 star hotel in Cheltenham for that.
