Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do.
Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do. Would recommend Smiths Burgers and the Dragonfly Maze. Easy to walk round and near to other places, such as Stow-on-the-Wold if you wanted to go further afield. Would have liked to have seen the Model Village but you couldn't take dogs in. Very busy, but well worth the effort.
Very busy, but well worth the effort. So much to see and do not only in Bourton but also the surrounding countryside. There are ample venues for food and drink, shopping is on another level. Model village, car museum, bird park are must dos. Upper and Lower Slaughter are just unmissable places to visit (get there before 10:30 am as parking is scarce. Bourton on the Water is one of the prettiest little places...
Bourton on the Water is one of the prettiest little places we’ve visited. The village is clean. The buildings are neat. The shops and eateries are interesting. The clear, shallow Windrush stream flowing through it with its lively flock of ducks is captivating and the footbridges across the stream and paths beside it make the whole experience of the village very special.Guest review byRossAustralia

As the hotel is set back from the road, there was no street noise for us, despite the fact we had a front facing room. The room we had was expensive, however it was decorated as I would expect a building of this age and character. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. The hotel had a lovely beer garden. Breakfast was tasty with a variety to suit all. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and tentative. The Italian restaurant didn't disappoint.
