The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the water pressure was fantastic. I needed to work while staying there, and the table/desk was perfect for my needs. The wifi was strong, too. Even though it's near a road, the rooms were seemingly soundproof. The carpet in the room was immaculate and seemed almost new. This sounds silly, but I've got a bit of a phobia of gross hotel carpets. The shower was clean and worked well. All in all, the room far exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, informative, and prompt at helping. I make trips to the area regularly, and I will definitely be staying again.

Everything! And Karen and family were great hosts, ready to help with anything, yet making us feel we had all the privacy wanted. Loved the welcoming picnic tables by the huge open green space and the beautiful peacocks. We loved being in the country on this farm with fresh eggs in mornings. Best location!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay, Emma, David and Dotty made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was fantastic, the room was lovely and comfortable and the pub round the corner was great for an evening meal. If travelling with a younger child, there is a lovely play park in the village too.

We had the most wonderful family weekend with our little one. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness. The thoughtful tips on what to explore nearby made our stay even more special. The place was spotless, beautifully cozy, and every detail showed such care.     Kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom were all absolutely top notch and thoroughly thought through in terms of comfort and equipment. Easy access to all local amenities. 5 minute walk to the local shops, pharmacy and takeaway as well as the leisure centre.

    We were there to see the Grand Prix at Silverstone.

    We were there to see the Grand Prix at Silverstone. The pickup for the shuttle bus was less than a mile down the road. The Old Rectory is beautifully restored by our friendly and gracious hosts Tim and Hilary

    Everything was great, as I expected, I had stayed here...

    Everything was great, as I expected, I had stayed here before. Rooms lovely. Staff really helpful. This time I had continental breakfast, croissant and crumpet not good, so I did some toast and marmalade which was absolutely fine. Coffee good. I gave constructive criticism to the staff re their croissant and crumpets (change supplier perhaps?) and left. They accepted this with good grace and still carried my suitcase across the road and down the street to my car for me, as I had my little dog with me. I didn't ask, he insisted. So overall a great place to stay, my second visit, I will stop again and see how they manage the continental breakfast! Oh I did have some fruit and yoghurt which was nice too. I did have the option of a cooked breakfast which looked good, other people had it, but I was travelling so chose not to have it. I do photos but uploading is beyond me!

    For those preferring to stay in a heritage and palatial type...

    For those preferring to stay in a heritage and palatial type of property and feel the nature it is a perfect place as you are not very far from the town and still in a nice, serene environment. Furthermore, it is just adjacent to Hinton airport where skydiving is conducted. So, if one is interested in skydiving, then it is an additional advantage.

    We loved strolling through the town and popping into the shops. Our favourites were the Old Hall Bookshop and the Courtyard Shops. We went to the Plough Pub and had some good food and beers. All the people we met were very friendly and helpful.

    It's where our friends live, so we always enjoy going here. It has a pleasant town centre and it is near to beautiful countryside. However, the outskirts are currently spoiled by ongoing HS2 construction

    A beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful location conveniently near to Brackley with its restaurants, lovely pubs and take aways. The cottage is immaculate, beautifully decorated, kitted out with quality furniture and has everything you could possibly need for a fabulous relaxing break. The garden patio area is gorgeous and provides a lovely outdoor setting for a peaceful morning cuppa. The owner gave us a lovely warm welcome and we will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely break.

    Location was very convenient for my needs. close to Brackley, close to the A43, close to Silverstone etc. Comfortable and spacious room, updated decor, very clean and tidy. Separated from the main house, you are one of two rooms so plenty of space and privacy. Secure car parking also and a great pub down the road (if you so fancy!)
