From looking through the entrance to leaving the following day, all my expectations were exceeded. It was welcoming, beautifully laid-out, equipped with top quality items and everything one might need. The staff were polite, welcoming and highly efficient. one of the best "Resting Places" I have been to in my 80 years; I will willingly post similar Comments wherever it will support 3 Cocks Hotel, just tell me where.

My stay at this charming little hotel in Brecon was simply outstanding. Jen was incredibly warm, helpful, and genuinely polite. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The room was spotless, beautifully arranged, and fully equipped with all the amenities I could wish for. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and cared for. Breakfast was a true highlight. Generous, rich, and bursting with flavour. Every bite felt homemade with love and attention to detail. What truly made this place unforgettable were the breathtaking views of the rolling green hills surrounding Brecon. Sitting in the cosy living and dining room, while looking out over the lush countryside, was pure serenity. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brecon. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and natural beauty.

My family and I had the best stay at Old Chapel Llanfrynach. It’s beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Gareth the host kept in touch throughout our stay and was friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had cosy nights in with the log burner and blankets and enjoyed the gorgeous views from the bedrooms in the morning. It’s in a great location for exploring the nearby mountains and trails. It was easy to park, dog friendly, perfect for our young kids, plus a great price. Highly recommended

We absolutely loved our stay at The Slow House Apartments! The place is new, spotless, and so welcoming that we immediately felt at home. The view of the Black Mountains from the big window is breathtaking – we could have spent hours just watching the light change over the hills. We really appreciated the eco-friendly choices like the solar panels, heat pump and water harvesting system – it’s wonderful to see such care for sustainability and comfort. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, surrounded by beautiful nature. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Brecon is a great little centre for walking with a nice atmosphere and plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. We live an hours drive away but it is really nice to book for a weekend away and to explore the area, the weather isn’t always kind so staying in Brecon provides for alternatives if necessary.

We absolutely love the cathedral! The museum was well worth a visit too & we discovered we had relatives who had served in the Boar War. There are excellent easy strolls to be had along the canal paths and plenty of shops to browse through. You'll never be short of a coffee shop in Brecon, there are loads to choose from.

YHA Brecon Beacons was a lovely base for our hiking trip.

YHA Brecon Beacons was a lovely base for our hiking trip. The location is peaceful and close to major trails, with clean rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and helpful trail maps at reception. Both our pod and shared room were cosy with essentials like heating and plug points. The pricing was very reasonable for the comfort offered. The only issue was the strict 5–10 PM check-in window. Overall, a great and affordable stay!

For anyone looking for good location in Pen y Fan range, this is perect location within walking distance. For me this location was perfect for another reason. Within nights sleep (4 days in total) I hiked all 12 highest peaks in every county in South Wales, which is around Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). The location was right at the middle. Inside, typical bunk house. However clean, well equipped, cheap and staff always open to talk. Fire pitch was nice in the evening with pint of local ale.

If you want both the comfort and cleanliness of a 4-star hotel and the coziness of a B&B, look no further. Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, high-standard ensuite bathroom. A very quiet location, in the heart of Brecon Beacons. Broad range of choices for breakfast: cooked English/Welsh, omelettes, cooked meats & cheeses, fruits. Dinner options are also great and include vegan and GF dishes. The ground floor has a traditional country pub feel. Thank you, Sue, for hosting us!

The house was light, spacious and very peaceful. The whole family slept well and especially enjoyed the underfloor heating :). The lounge area was extremely spacious but we think would benefit from a rug to give it that extra cosy feel in the evenings (in no way a criticism just personal preference) We cannot wait to return and explore more of the Brecon Beacons.

Amazing location for Brecon Beacons. Parking literally on the door of the room. Pub next door (also acts as the reception) serves great food. We had dinner and breakfast. Great outdoors just outside your room. The room has plenty of space for 4 and especially the bathroom is huge. We had lovely stay.
