The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous. Fantastic people working there, the food is excellent, with large portions, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. There are quite a few pubs in Builth Wells centre, but nome of them match the Seven Stars at Aberedw. All the pubs seem to have been recently renovated, many with views at the back over the river Wye. My favourite was the Barley Mow. Good real ale. Had a very nice fish and chips on the main street. I cannot fault this little gem of a hotel. I travel around to check out hotels etc. I rarely call any hotel a little gem but this one ticked all the boxes. If you want to treat someone to a nice meal that is reasonably priced and amazing then this is the place to go. If your in wales on holiday then do not miss an opportunity to stay here. Nice little town. We enjoyed our meal at the Indian Ocean restaurant. Particularly as we could take our own drinks. Very friendly staff there. Willing to accommodate. Our room was lovely - clean, comfortable, fresh and homely. We didn't have dinner at the hotel. It was fully booked. I'm sure the food would have been good - particularly the Thai menu. We had a drink in the bar and we enjoyed that. The log burner was on and the company was very convivial. Breakfast was excellent.
