I believe Chipping Campden to be overall the best location in the Cotswolds. It has everything you need including pubs, a cocktail bar, restaurants, shops, a small mini-market, and the high street is picturesque and atmospheric. Just a lovely little town with great access to the rest of the Cotswolds. Michael's Medittereanean restaurant was by far our favourite of the trip. We loved the local cheese and prodcue shops, visited the chapel and walked around the village. It is easy to drive or walk around, even with many tourists we managed to find parking in the centre. Beautiful location in the cotswolds. Great for a rural escape whilst still enjoying the company of people and the comfort of many facilities. Great restaurant at the Noel Arms. My favorite part was opening the French doors in the morning, looking out at the view, while having my coffee. The location was perfect and I enjoyed walking straight into town. Chipping Campden is a beautiful town and I found more quiet than other Cotswolds villages that are overrun with tourists and traffic. It was a great base to stay at.
