Plenty of shops, cafes, pubs and picturesque churches with Pendle Hill as it's backdrop. The castle is interesting to explore and set in a lovely park, good for short walks. Great destination for real ale drinkers. Lots of lovely places to visit in and around Clitheroe. Lovely Mexican/Spanish restaurant called The Wellsprings, Sabden, well worth a visit serving excellent food and a beautiful views across the valley. For a lovely all-day breakfast try the wonderful Hindelinis restaurant and bar on the historic Gisburne Park Estate. If it's a Sunday roast you are after, why not try the fabulous Rhubarb restaurant in the Herriots Hotel in Skipton. We had a nice roast beef dinner in there when we visited. Not far we visited Malham Cove, Janet's Floss waterfall and Gordale Scar - a lovely 4 1/2 mile walk from Malham.Guest review byVal - 6.0
