Literally---everything! How often can one stay in an establishment dating back to the 17th century? The room was very comfortable and provided a view of the front garden area. The facility truly offers it all: great, comfortable and classy accommodations, tremendous and delicious 5 star cuisine, a walkable garden area sporting grand, old (over 200 yrs old!) trees like Sequoias and Cedars and a very welcoming and gracious staff. We were even afforded the opportunity to speak at length to Stuart, the owner. Stuart is a hands-on owner and pitches in to help with anything that may need to be done. Just a grand experience all around!!! If you have the opportunity to stay here--by all means do it!

The Estate of Ord is in a fantastic location, surrounded by stunning scenery. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options to start the day. The property was warm, spotlessly clean, and had a charming atmosphere that added to the experience.

An overnight quick stay before taking ferry from Ullapool. Set in a quiet and scenic area, a classic busy hotel with many rooms, long corridors and gigantic public bar areas. I had a lovely single room with a full sized bathroom. Everything about my stay was perfect, especially the overnight reception staff. I slept well and sadly left before breakfast. I’ll stay again rather than in much busier and more expensive Inverness. Lots of Scottish clan info and classic Scottish images and souvenirs. More used to coach parties, they made room for me at a great and affordable rate.

    Giving easy access to Inverness, the Black Isle and the West coast, Contin is an ideal base for a Highland holiday. Contin itself is a beautiful spot and the staff from both the local shop and the hotel Coul House were welcoming and friendly.

    Had a couple of nights stay at Achilty guest house. The proprietor was very friendly & welcoming ( M ). The chalet was spacious and dog friendly and clean,bed was made daily which was a nice surprise ! Continental breakfast was plentiful, with good choices. We were visiting family and friends in the area, so was a good location for us. The price paid was good value for the time of year and location. Would we stay there again ? Yes

    A wonderful one night stay at this hotel while in town for a friends birthday event. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room were comfortable, clean and very spacious. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with a really great authentically Scottish menu. Would definitely come back again. Thanks to the hotel team for a lovely stay!

    The employees are very helpful and give great service. It’s in a gorgeous setting in the woods with great views on the drive to the house. Breakfast was continental but plenty of choice and in the evening the microwave and crockery etc, were really helpful after a long day out. We did a day of activities which we all really enjoyed.

    Traditional family-run hotel in a wonderful location, with lots to explore on foot in and around Contin, as well as making a great base for further afield. The lovely staff offer such a personal, friendly service, this combines with excellent dining making for a truly relaxing atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit.
