The Highlander Inn was just what I needed and by the number of other guests it is a very popular place. It delivers, all that one could wish for. Hospitality, friendliness, good service, food was superb, staff could not have been more helpful. This hotel is very expensive and a rip off, working in the area every month and had no option to use it one night for a stay, caters for the tourists and rips them off, go 10 mins in any direction and get better service and room for half the cost. Craigallachie itself is very small.
Craigallachie itself is very small. If you are out and about in the car it is perfect for you. The Highlander Inn was a great place to eat. Aberlour just 2 miles away was in walking distance and the walk along the river was nice. You had to walk along the main road to get to the path though. The cottage is just off the main road but it is quite peaceful. You don`t hear the traffic inside really.
