I don't bad trips, every place has something to offer. Plenty of places to eat with varied choice, I can certainly recommend the chippy next door to the George the fish n chips were lush and really good value prices. Costa had good value breakfast deals. As a gent who was born and bred in Desborough, it was very interesting to see how it had changed, perhaps not for the better with all the new developements, housing and warehouses. The club life is still very active, with five different clubs and the locals are still very freindly,the shops are quite good and there is afew good places to eat and drink with both English and foreign foods. There are some pleasant walks around the town and a lot of local history, including silk weaving, boot and shoe industry, iron ore quarrying, all well displayed at the heritage centre in the town.Guest review byMichael - 10.0

We came as traders for the Marston Steam Fair and Desborough was a good a place as any to book a hotel room for one night as the show was only on for two day. The local area seemed very clean and welcoming. And they have many eating places and shops but unfortunately we didn't have the time to explore the area. There was plenty of room in a large car park to the rear of the complex. Staff were very welcoming, and the check-in process was handled quickly and professionally. My room was presented in a clean, tidy manner with plenty of drinking water, coffee, and tea on hand. There's a lively pub just across the road with plenty of fast food outlets within walking distance. The hotel complex has a vending machine for late night snacks.
