Magdalene was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful and had a wonderful personal touch. The wooden cabins were outstanding- built by master craftsmen in European spruce, they were beautiful, functional, warm and fragrant. The small village is off the beaten track and is quiet and quaint with great walking trails on your doorstep. The rooms are located right next to the Pandy Inn which has a lovely pub and serves good food. This was one of the best stays we experienced during our tour of the UK!

We really appreciated the beautiful room, the delicious breakfast, and the hosts that were very kind and very attentionate. The room is spacious and very clean, and the shower is of excellent manufacture.

The building is full of character and has a history going back to the 1385. We were made welcome by the owners who ensured we enjoyed our stay. In the evenings there is a great atmosphere in the bar being popular with the locals. As for the food it’s top quality restaurant standard. Without doubt this is the best place to stay in the area we are going to stay again in the summer

This is a beautiful grade 2 listed house with a whole private area for guests. A mix of traditional with modern comfort. Lovely peaceful nook. Superb choice of quality breakfast but best of all very welcoming and warm hosts. We hope to return.

We loved the cosy cottage complete with log burner and hot tub as well as the peaceful location that was so convenient for getting into the town. Wendy and Stephen were such brilliant hosts and made us feel very welcome and I would definitely recommend this cottage to others looking for a relaxing weekend away.

    Our hostess, Jo, was very welcoming and made our stay very pleasant. She was happy to spend time with us and was always pleasant. She made some good recommendations regarding places to visit. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished with garden views and a good size. The bathroom had all the facilities we needed and was a good size. Everywhere was very clean. The breakfast was freshly made tasty and filling. We were sad to leave. Hay on Wye was our favourite place, only 6 miles away. A lovely country town with a great individual shops and a relaxing atmosphere.

    The breakfast was excellent. We also had a very nice evening meal and drinks at the very friendly and close Pandy Inn. The room was very spacious, clean and peaceful. It also had a very nice large shower. There was good car parking right next to our room. There were lovely views from the rear garden and breakfast area to a field full of wild flowers. There are also some very nice walks around the Dorstone area that have great views as well. Magdalena made us very welcome and we enjoyed our chats with her as she cooked our lovely breakfasts.
