I love Elie. Superb walks especially along beaches.

I love Elie. Superb walks especially along beaches. Pubs are all dog friendly. Ship is a bit expensive but pleasant. 19th hole not so expensive and station buffet bar least expensive. You can get snacks and soup there, and cheaper drinks. Elie is very pretty and lots of quaint cottages and houses. Near to st Andrews and all the villages along the coastline. You can walk to anstruther by coastal path, and pub at end and bus services are great for a trip back. The secret bunker is well worth a visit. There is a chain walk which is exciting. You can also walk from Elie to shell bay caravan park which is a lovely walk along top of cliffs and you can get refreshments when you get there. Not too far a walk. Out of season can be very quiet as mainly holiday homes. Nice shops. Elie deli, clothes shop and gift shop. Bakery sells fabby breads and cakes. A trip to ardross farm shop is great and only a couple of miles out of Elie. Lovely fresh food and veg, and frozen meats and lots of unusual foods and nuts. Best is lovely walks and so dog friendly. Our Hanna has a ball meeting and playing with dogs on beach. Even with lots of dogs the beach is very clean and dog owners seem to adhere to picking up poo and loads of bins to dispose of them. Just a fabby place. We ate at ship inn. Small lunch menu and quite expensive. 19th hole lovely food and not quite as expensive. Station buffet bar does snacks and soup and a lot cheaper. Pavillion also does lovely food and breakfast and all pubs accept dogs.

Lovely clean, well maintained site with plenty to keep family entertained. Cafe provided good food and nice staff. Refused a table at restaurant till too late..two three year old children..as we had not booked in advanced, although only a few other diners in and most tables empty.. waitress checked with chef and he advised to come back later..after eating in cafe, restaurant still quite empty..quite disappointed.. Entertainment area was good, friendly staff and entertainment for everyone. Lovely play park for children. Shop a bit sparse for food and drink for self catering.

Elie & Earlsferry seemlessly blend together & it's a very nice relaxing place to stroll around, with a variety of accommodation available, it has a nice mixture of residents and holiday makers. The Beach is amazing, and when the tide is out there is a huge expanse of sand to walk, or walk over the dunes from Earlsferry. You can access miles of the Fife Coastal path from here, which has stunning views and lovely little beaches along the way. For evening meals either in Elie, The Ship Inn & the 19th Hole in Earlsferry, where the Goujons of Lemon Sole were fabulous in very light better. The Pavillion in Earlsferry serves a great breakfast. There is also a great bakery, Barnetts their Strawberry Pastries & Cornish Pasties are very tasty, and at the Elie Deli there's always a great selection of salads, my favourite was the Prawn Salad box & sandwiches are available too.

This was our first trip to Elie. We had an amazing time.

This was our first trip to Elie. We had an amazing time. It is a small but self contained town. There was something for everyone to do. Our kids played golf everyday and football by the beach in the evening. We also enjoyed some lovely walks to the neighbouring towns, with the tidal pools, the fishing boats, fresh produce market, wee museums, ice-cream parlous, etc The weather was fantastic, we had no rain at all during our stay and the temperature was for shorts and t-shirts. The beach front is really pretty. Some nice restaurants and pubs also. Definitely recommend a trip there.

Beautiful village with a gorgeous beach and harbour. A handful of lovely local shops and a regular bus service. Throughly enjoyed dinner at both The Ship Inn and the 19th Hole. The Ship Inn has fantastic views.

Beautiful location! The lodge was lovely and the hot tub was brilliant. The place had plenty space but that was just for the 2 of us. I can imagine if you have a family you would maybe struggle with living space (seating and kitchen works top space) But it is exactly as it is in the pictures! We had a really lovely time away to Elie and got to see some stunning views with visiting the beach, seeing ladies tower, the lighthouse. Lovely little place!

Helena Cottage is well situated next to the scenic golf course, and not far from the fantastic beach in Elie. The kitchen is well equipped & the beds are comfortable. It's great to have the small yard to sit in, & the washing line was useful. It was great having the 2nd TV in the bedroom.

Excellent location near Elie. 5 mins walk to the beach and coastal walking routes. Lots of things to do for the kids. Very handy with the onsite restaurant and take away. Will be back again.

Comfortable with everything to hand. A quirky place to stay which was a refreshing change to a simple hotel room/suite.
