As soon as we walked in we were amazed. Absolutely gorgeous little place with all the facilities you could need with handy parking literally over the road. We visit Elland quite often and without a doubt, this is our new "go to" place. We will definitely stay here again :)

The place it’s just magical. Starting for the building itself, old and fantastic. Kids and ourself had an outstanding time. Kids especially enjoyed garden, fire place and jacuzzi❤️. Strongly recommended. We loved it and definitely will come back.

We loved the kitchen facilities, we stayed to attend a gig in halifax and it was super helpful to just cook from the property. We also loved the amount of streaming services available on the TV. Shower and sink products were full as were tea and coffee supplies!

Great location, right next to the Nags Head, where we had a lovely dinner. Breakfast was a bargain. Freshly cooked bacon sandwich, coffee, also yoghurts and croissants included in the price. Staff are very friendly and professional.

There is plenty of parking with cameras outside. The staff are very welcoming in every area of the hotel. They care about your stay and that you are comfortable.

The Briar Hotel was fantastic. Really close to the John Smith Stadium which was great as I travelled with my son for a concert. Breakfast was also great. Staff were fantastic. Very polite.

    We booked the ground floor apartment with 2 bedrooms, but...

    We booked the ground floor apartment with 2 bedrooms, but were given the top floor apartment which only had 1 bedroom. This was nit acceptable as we were a group of 4 adults in their 50s ! Thankfully they resolved this issue giving us 2 separate 1 bedroom apartments. Unfortunately we won’t use these apartments again

    There's nothing really nice to say about the area.

    There's nothing really nice to say about the area. It felt really run down. We tried on local bar, sat in the beer garden and were offered some discount washing up liquid being sold out of a backpack from one of the locals that i assume wasn't just his excess household stock. One restaurant/bar thst stood out was The Caddyshack. This was a pleasant surprise in what felt like an overall poor neighborhood.
