This was our second stay at the Ferryboat, and it was as exceptional as our first. After a rough crossing from Ireland moving back to the UK, delayed and throwing down with rain, Peter greeted us, took our breakfast order and we grabbed some drinks from the honesty bar. Exactly what one needs to relax midway through such a trip. The breakfast was outstanding the following morning, I will add!

    An interesting town across the bay from the property with reasonably priced car parking and within fairly easy walking distance. An interesting cinema/theatre and a good range of shops and eating places. An interesting history of events. St. David’s and Tenby were interesting places within an hour’s drive.

    We liked the path along the coast, we just had a bit of a problem figuring out a hike for the kids, i.e. 6-10 km. We used a bus from Dinas Cross once to get back from the trip (beware, it doesn't run on Sundays). Apparently seals are sometimes seen on the cliffs behind Harbour Village...

    Great litt;e town, with friendly locals and good choice of pubs, shops, eateries and things to do. Close to several local attractions and staying in town it is a short walk to anywhere! Picturesque coast and lovely countryside.

    Fishguard has world-beating coastal walks and views; ideal for droning. It is a quiet, small town, brimming with cultural assets, e.g. the Last Invasion Tapestry, Folk at the Oak every Tuesday, Goodwick Harbour, Lower Town (used for at least two films), Theatr Gwawn and varied eating options. Everything is within walking distance. It's also close to interesting places to visit, such as St David's, with its cathedral.

    It's a great base location for exploring the area.

    It's a great base location for exploring the area. There's plenty of nice coastal walks that are only a short drive away. The town itself is quite small but still has plenty to offer. There's history with the fort and last invasion gallery, the lower town is very cute and you're spoiled for choice with food and drink - lots of very good quality cafes, restaurants and pubs.

    In Fishguard to take ferry to Ireland so didn't see much of it. Looks a nice coastal town but obviously the ferry port overwhelms the town. If using the ferry services directions are clear and plenty of space to park and wait if arrive early. Stayed overnight in The Ferryboat which was lovely and highly recommended.

    We needed an overnight sleep after the ferry crossing before a further long drive the next morning . Wanted a clean B and B close to Fishguard port which we got. The very pleasant proprietor kindly waited for us arriving 11pm and took breakfast order. We are early risers, despite being very tired arriving so decided to hit the road at 7.30am and grab something en route as it was bank holiday weekend, therefore cannot comment on breakfast.     The unusual building in this old school, the shared living room with plenty of elements from different places and styles, our bedroom (number 2) was comfortable and clean, and the location of the hostel in Fishguard was great. On top, Steven very kindly gave us a favour washing and drying some of our clothes as we were on a hiking holiday and hand washing did not work out well.

    The hotel was shut when we arrived. The electricity had been cut off.I had tried calling the hotel many times and no reply. The proprietor was there and he was belligerent and no apology.We had booked 2 nights months before. Disgusting.

    Lovely room and ensuite - very clean. Great night's sleep in an extremely comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choice. The host was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is only a short distance to the ferry port.
