I was looking for somewhere to stay for 1 night with a reactive dog as I was attending a canine workshop close by. This accommodation was easy to book, great value, comfortable and immaculate. Quiet town 11 miles from Salisbury, and in the New Forest but with all the local amenities required, eg pharmacy, Tesco express, pubs, garage. Seemed to be popular with hikers so I'm guessing plenty of walks and trails nearby. The George pub is right on the river by the bridge and serves great food. The breakfast also was very generous and tasty. The scrambled eggs were a wonderful flavour. The staff are very helpful and nice. Its situated in a lovely village setting. A comfy memory foam mattress. The hotel was clean throughout. It has a lovely garden with fairy lights, and a field next door which is perfect for exercising your dogs.
