The quite area and the flexibility(Late arrival) and friendlieness of the staff. The Pod-room, and the shower- and bathroom is also very comfortable, clean and very nice, inclusive veranda. Everything(beautyfull villages, great landscape, gardens and interesting historical locations of british art(e.g.Victoria Wolf)) in the area is good reachable.

The breakfast was wonderful, plentiful, and lots of choice in a lovely sunroom. The hotel is set in a grand, picturesque location surrounded by fields within which is a lake, Beds are very comfortable with French doors opening onto a patio, looking across the fields. An 14th century church is in walking distance, and pleasant walks in the nearby wooded areas. Lovely part of the world, real England.

Great location for walks from Uckfield, to the High Street, for train and bus access. Accommodation was great - clean, spacious, relaxing. Hosts were very accommodating, responsive and helpful.

A really beautiful place to stay facilities were outstanding as was the location. Would recommend it's proximity to Lewes and Brighton make it even more of a hidden gem.

    Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful part of East Sussex.

    Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful part of East Sussex. Rooms far nicer than the photos suggest. Our room had mezzanine bedroom, and living room area downstairs, just lovely. Patio area to the back, couldn't have asked for more. Easy check in and check out, and they were able to accommodate around our timing outside of normal check in times. We went to wedding nearby and the BlackBoys were able to help out with local taxi firms so everything went really smoothly. It's a shame the pub is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, was looking forward to a pint of Harvey's!
