Gary and Jennifer are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Backside Lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Homemade scones, biscuits, sweets, bottle water, bottle of beer and a bottle of wine waiting in the lodge for use. A lovely touch to a perfect stay. The bed was so comfortable and the lide was extremely clean. Can't wait to go back.

The host went above & beyond to make our stay special this was a hidden gem so relaxing & had everything you needed to make our stay just perfect I will definitely stay again & would highly recommend anyone to go visit & stay the host even fed the cockreal so that I could take his picture! The location was exceptional, the house was beautiful very spacious, clean and cosy. Secluded in our own private garden and outdoor seating area. Perfect for a weekend away, would definitely stay longer next time. I would highly recommend this house, the host was very helpful throughout the stay xx

The property was beautiful, home from home, with everything there that you needed, the welcome pack was a lovely gesture as well left by Claire. The village was quiet, which was nice, but good in the fact that relaxing/chilled (with village pub just across the road serving lovely food) we had days out in York and Beverley. We are certainly going back......
