There is literally nothing to do on Garve, not even the train station has a booth. That being said, it's a wonderfully quiet little village that is perfectly located. You need your own transport but it's a great location. Strathpeffer is gorgeous and the Black River walks and falls are close by, easy to do and spectacular. Fantastic for anyone who enjoys walking or being outside.
Fantastic for anyone who enjoys walking or being outside. Beautiful scenery, next to river and loch, many walking trails with waterfalls. All the information you could need for your stay was provided, and the cottage was impeccably clean. The living room space was a highlight for our late-November stay. With extra deep seating, warm blankets, and a log burner, it would be nearly impossible to not feel at home here. The Christmas decorations were an added bonus to the ambiance!
