Better than expected. Excellent value for money. Centrally located, ideal for exploring Gloucester. Easily accessible parking just next to the hotel, free at night and only GBP 8 for the day. The room was spacious and well equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee, tea, and cookies. The shower was comfortable. Polite staff and fast check-in and out.

    I attended the history festival and it was my first time in Gloucester. I was impressed with the venue; very evocative and meaningful and the beautiful cathedral is a must. Check out the museum and the historical dock area for food and drink options including breakfast. Another highlight is Nature in Art. Take the No 71 bus from the transport hub to Twigworth. It is elegant and an oasis in Autumn sunlight. A very welcoming place I shall be returning to and maybe staying for longer.

    Gloucester has the Cathedral, Docks and Kingsholm for Rugby.

    Gloucester has the Cathedral, Docks and Kingsholm for Rugby. Unless you have a particular reason for visiting there is not much to do or see. It is a useful base if you are visiting the Severn and Wye valleys or the Cotswolds.

    I have been to Gloucester before but not stayed in the city. There are of course many fine mediaeval buildings including the Cathedral. also some very good pubs and I found the people generally very friendly.

    This was my 4th trip to Gloucester so I have seen many of the sights before. The Cathedral is the main site to see. The cloisters have the most beautiful fan-vaulting stone work that I have ever seen in a Cathedral. Harry Potter fans will enjoy them as some scenes from the films were shot there. There are several quite old pubs in Gloucester which are well worth visiting plus it was a Roman town so there are some Roman ruins dotted about.

    Gloucester itself (especially Gloucester Quays area) is very nice. Historic and interesting with lots of great eatery options (highly recommend Greek on the Docks or Hetty’s Place). Lots of parking, mostly pay parking.

    Beautiful countryside.

    Beautiful countryside. Tewksbury is a lovely historic town well worth a visit. Gloucester also a beautiful city. Slimbridge Wildlife Centre close enough for a lovely day out. Plenty more to visit including the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds.

    I have stayed here before as the location is brilliant - right in the centre of Gloucester. Hotel room was very clean and comfortable although it was tired-looking. Hotel is under new management and improvements are being made. My room was on the second floor and stairs were very steep - previously I have been on the first floor which I would prefer. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful - one took my case down the stairs for me when she saw me struggling.

    Ideal location for visiting our daughter in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital which was less than 5 minutes walk away. Whilst we had already made arrangements to have breakfast with her, other guests appeared very happy with the breakfast provided by this hotel, and we will certainly consider this in the future. The city centre and Quays area are only a 15/20 minute walk away.

    Hotel was very central to docks area off Gloucester Town. Works are on going at minute with replacing windows etc, noise was a minimum really no complaints there. Rooms facilities were good and clean so yeah wud use again and price was good....
