It’s a pretty village and The White Hart has beautifully manicured gardens by the river, excellent award winning restaurant and local ales. The towns of Halstead and Sudbury are only about 5 miles away for shopping in local independent stores! You need to travel to near villages.
You need to travel to near villages. Our room was adapted for disabled people, so our sink was low in our bathroom. But it’s great that they have adapted the entrance and bathroom to be wheelchair friendly. The menu for dining was not large, but the food is great! We stayed two nights and both nights we dined at the hotel. Various types of proper English breakfast were offered. The room had a lovely cosy feeling with the tartan carpet and the vaulted beamed ceiling. The hotel catered for our early acess request and always responded promptly to my emails.
