Peter was very welcoming, we spent the evening visiting with him and two other guests. It was a really wonderful way to end the day. The room was clean, and comfortable. The ensuite was perfect. Breakfast was lovely, and plentiful as well.

We had a very comfortable and clean stay — the place was well-kept and close to Glasgow city, which made getting around very convenient. The only thing to be aware of is that parking is on the street and depends on availability, but otherwise everything was great.

Beautiful 400 year old inn!!! Loved the food, drink, and accommodations. The staff made sure we were warm and well fed when we spent a day indoors while storm Eowyn shut down the country - lovely to have a hot drink inside and watch the wind and rain from inside the cozy pub

Greenock is fine but dreadful bus station.

Greenock is fine but dreadful bus station. I was robbed by a very incompetent laptop repair shop hotspot in town centre 20 GBP for 5 mins work and job not done. The lady in charge of the waterfront took my laptop personally and got it fixed. Great service.

Interesting grand architecture.

Interesting grand architecture. Visited when Queen Anne cruise ship was docked which helped to imagine how it must have been during its ship building past. Friendly and interesting place, post ship building community.

Great find along the bank of the River Clyde.

Great find along the bank of the River Clyde. Basic room but well equipped and very clean. Man who checked us in was very helpful and explained everything. Near to the historic centre and opposite Lidl supermarket. Recommend eating at Spicycurry Nepalese restaurant behind the bus station. The Waverley steamer also runs tours from just outside!

Greenock has a good selection of supermarkets and shops together with an inviting waterfront along which to stroll. Enjoyed our trip on the paddle steamer Waverley. Found Greenock a friendly place to visit with a selection of shopping outlets mostly within a short walking distance.

The accommodation was spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. We had travelled to Greenock for the funeral of a close relative and we found this to be a true haven where we could rest and enjoy a modicum of tranquility before travelling home again.

I work in Greenock but stayed at the Waterfron to attend an...

I work in Greenock but stayed at the Waterfron to attend an event at the Alabany due to the train strikes that week. My room was a student room next to other occupied student rooms so I could hear a lot of noise from the next room - radio, someone talking loudly on his phone. The worst part was the lack of hot water in the shower. I asked the manager about this and he said it was an issue with the water pressure. He said he would fix it but it still didn't work on the second morning of my stay.

The apartment itself is very cute and cosy. It had everything we needed for a short stay, the rooms were comfortable, the appliances in the small kitchen worked and the family room was great for meals and movies. There is free parking nearby and an Aldi. Short drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Loch Lomond. Close to the activities around Greenock.
