We love Gullane as we love beach walks.
We love Gullane as we love beach walks. In a daily basis we beach-walked from Gullane to North Berwick or Gullane towards Aberlady and the beaches are glorious. A lovely home from home in a quiet peaceful location. We were keen to explore Edinburgh but not keen on being in the city 24/7. Edinburgh was easily accessible by bus or train. Excellent location for touring the area and for golfing.
Excellent location for touring the area and for golfing. Friendly residents and good amenities. Good selection of eating establishments -- not disappointed with any. 3rd stay in Gullane love the location beach is amazing, plenty shops to stock up if self catering. Chip shop is amazing and had meal at Bonnie Badger can’t recommend enough, Grace of India in Aberlady didn’t disappoint with our curry night, you get what you pay for with them all not the cheapest but definitely the best we’ve had. Close to plenty of places to visit, Archerfield Walled Garden well worth the walk or drive, our first time. Gullane is close to small railway stations for ease of visiting Edinburgh and North Berwick, buses also on high street. Golfers paradise but we don’t golf but still perfect either way.
