What a place! Beautiful building that is as beautiful inside. The room and bathroom we stayed in were huge! The bed was comfortable and we loved that the sheets smelt home-y rather than the run of the mill hotel smell. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. The puppies and kitties were a pleasant surprise for us and made our stay even better. The location was perfect for us and we spent a couple of days in Hay on Wye.

This is a lovely little apartment. Very cozy and clean and nicely decorated. Lots of nice light. The kitchen was nicely outfitted and the coffee/tea supplies were very nice. Wonderful to have a clothes washer. Nice to have an outer room to leave wet umbrellas etc. Great, quiet location a short walk from the city center.

Everything!!! From a very warm welcome from the owners, who upgraded our stay before we had even arrived, to the superb breakfast. The building was warm and inviting, the room beautifully clean and cosy. The slightly sloping floor added some jollity to the stay. The open fire in the bar was lovely and added to the cosy atmosphere. The bar was busy with locals who were enjoying having a well stocked and friendly pub nearby. We will definitely be going back at the earliest opportunity.

Hay was one of our favourite places My husband is an avid book reader, collector. In past years he usually found what he would call a little bit of treasure from one of the many bookshops but he was disappointed at how expensive the books were. The town is still delightful and pleasurable to walk around.

As expected there were a great many book shops. Also some attractive gift type shops and being a Saturday an interesting craft market. Lots of eateries but staying at the Old Black Lion we didn’t need to use them. Very best being a bank holiday weekend

A great property clean and modern, well equipped and great location. Sleeps five. we previously stayed in hay on wye in band b which was very scruffy. This property was 100% better. If you don’t cook there are great cafes a very short walk away. We will recommend this property to friends

Hay is lovely for the second-hand bookshop afficionado and also set in beautiful surroundings with fantastic walks along the river Wye. During the book festival it can be crowded, and difficult to find accommodation. Be warned you need to book well in advance. If camping suits you, Racquety farm is excellent and not too far from town. Some good pubs and restaurants: the three tuns, excellent value for money and the blue boar, more pricey but good garden

Everything was perfect; we had such a great amount of space across three levels and I really loved the little touches like the bread, jams and butter in the fridge and some fresh fruit - it was very welcomed. The bed was so comfy (and the bedding smelt amazing!) and the apartment is right in the middle of hay town, so perfect location too!

It was delightful. Quirky, well-equipped and spacious. There was a generous balcony ideal for lazy afternoons looking out over the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. Staying on a small holding gave us an insight into life on a farm. A ten minute walk took us to the centre of Hay on Wye. Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive.

Wonderful location just outside Hay on Wye, with the most stupendous view over the Wye valley from the hut. The hut is within a safe and enclosed field, which was fantastic for our dog. Well equipped with two burners, fridge, sink etc. so that you can cook for yourself if needed (no oven), great bathroom. Lovely outdoors space.
