The cathedral is amazing!
The cathedral is amazing! There are so many streets with wonderful shops and no cars allowed! My favourite being the walk to the cathedral with the bunting and the gallery shop at the end with wonderful craft pieces to buy. The cider museum is great too!Guest review bynichola - 8.0

I spent a weekend in Hereford and really enjoyed the experience. The town is lovely, with great options for food and plenty of natural surroundings to explore. I was there to visit family so I didn’t spend a lot of time exploring Hereford as I have visited before. However I like Hereford as it has a lot to investigate especially the Mappa Mundi and the Cathedral. There is a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes. We had a curry on the first night a family meal in the Cosy Club and on our last night we had fish and chips from a Chippie just round the corner from where we were staying. Lovely old buildings and fantastic cathedral. Had a great meal in a Thai restaurant. For a bank holiday , Hereford was surprisingly quiet. Visiting family but enjoyed all Hereford has to offer, culture, history, beautiful scenery, interesting locations. River walks, Cathedral & most of all - the chilled friendly atmosphere. The only problem we had was for my husband who is disabled and did find it difficult to get around the hotel as it wasn't really suitable for his wheelchair and he has difficulty walking any distance. However the staff were very helpful. The only other thing was that room 11 was very cold but was a lovely room with everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and we both slept very well. Knowing the hotel had a refurbishment recently so stayed for a night as needed to attend a workshop following morning, very pleased with the stay in this charming old fashioned hotel.
