The house sleeps 8 people but it's a tight squeeze of you intend on eating and sitting together. The sofas hold 6 on total meaning 2 have to sit on the floor or kitchen chairs. The kitchen table can fit 8, but you need to find chairs from elsewhere. Heating is set and can't be changed, and there's a lockbox on the thermostat. Dishwasher was brand new, washer-dryer is from the 90s but works. Beds are comfortable and showers are great. Water is scolding hot.

Quiet and with a remote feel to it yet actually it's quite close to local amenities. It definitely has a lovely feel to it making it easy to relax in an area close to the Peak District yet far less busy.

We were a party of 3 rooms visiting for a family party on the South side of Sheffield, so this was the perfect location, a lovely quiet village only 3 miles from the venue. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The beautifully decorated rooms were heavenly and of a very high standard: large ensuites, comfortable beds, large screen tv, tea and coffee facilities. We were able to relax in the cosy bar before we left for the party and the next morning, the breakfast was superb and great value for money. It goes without saying that we would love to visit again!

This is a pub with well appointed and private rooms above.

This is a pub with well appointed and private rooms above. Situated in a quiet village, this means it's peaceful and away from the usual tourist hot spots, which is a real benefit. This does mean a drive to get supplies though, although this shouldn't present a problem, given that visiting around the Peak District requires car travel anyway.. Super friendly and helpful staff who definitely go the extra mile. Good food is available accross the road at the Angel Public House/Restaurant. The breakfast is excellent and particularly good value for money.
