There isn't a huge amount to do in Holyhead itself.
There isn't a huge amount to do in Holyhead itself. A few nice walks around the coast. I don't have a car so next time I would stay closer inland in Anglesey to take advantage of more activities and places to see. I ended up taking a train to Bangor for a day. The surrounding area is stunning.
The surrounding area is stunning. Thousands of puffins at South Stack. But Holyhead itself has nothing to see. Amazing beaches and wild flowers and sand dunes a little further down the west coast road.Guest review byevelynUnited Kingdom

But the main attraction is the garden and the beautiful surroundings, located within walking distance of the cliffs, lighthouse, and Holyhead Mountain. The garden is amazing (of course when the weather is good). It is a great place to stay before going with the ferry to Dublin. We started our holiday to Ireland (Holyhead > Dublin) in comfort. Friendly hosts, with prompts comms. The location is perfect for the ferry. The check in was professional and hassle free. The flat was very clean and of a high standard. Comfy beds. WiFi connection & TV excellent. Parking down the road only £1.20 for the night! We had no idea we were about to stay at a house of someone with such a great energy and lovely spirit. Kay really helped us when we needed to postpone our ferry and let us stay at hers for another night. Her breakfast buffet is immense and we were nibbling on it throughout the whole day.
