Horning is a small village on the water's edge, great for boaters passing through, but not much for land-based tourists without driving around. Hotel, location and staff at the Swan Hotel were all fine. Trip down the river with commentary of the Missisipi river boat was most enjoyable. That two out of three cafe restaurants in Horning were closed on a Tuesday at lunch time was quite surprising.

Very pretty and quiet location with local pubs and a fish restaurant. We ate in the fur and feathers about 7 miles away which was very nice with good atmosphere. The Bure river cottage fish restaurant in Horning looked lovely and was very popular.

    Picture postcard village.

Picture postcard village. Thatched cottage views and right on the water. Local cafes, snack bar, excellent value. River Cruises on the broads, leaves three times daily from village. Free parking at village hall. Waking distance to boats, pubs and local shops. Easy access by boat or car. Pictures attached from lawn of holiday property we rented, all except river cruiser.

don't miss a trip on Southern Comfort.

don't miss a trip on Southern Comfort. Don't miss the History of Radar Museum. It really is interesting. Going from WW11 to Cold war. Talks by the men and women who operated the kit. Wroxham Barns, the cider is great so buy some. and some other great shops. Plenty of boat hire places.

Horning is a really nice riverside village.

Horning is a really nice riverside village. We were keen to leave because Villa Morea was very disappointing accommodation that spoiled our trip completely. The view of the river is exaggerated as it is merely a glimpse between two properties.

The staff were really good and very helpful, the rooms were clean but need some revamping, the bed was comfortable, but the food was of a lesser standard than Wetherspoons, tough steaks for dinner and burnt toast undercooked bacon and overcooked eggs for breakfast

The location was 30 minutes from Norwich and the coast too. So days out were very easily accessible. The property was peaceful and seeing wildlife, such as deer and heron was an added bonus. Fishing from the lawn excellent. Like fishing from a barrel, bite every few minutes. Taking different bait next time we book, to see what else we can catch.

Great location in the heart of the village, really well equipped accommodation with everything provided. Outdoor area is very comfortable and relaxing - although we discovered the outdoor heater wasn’t connected up on the one night we went to use it. The Venetian interior is certainly different - & great fun for a holiday home.

Norfolk is wonderful. The shower unit is great. But it takes up too much room in a tiny bathroom. The visiting Heron was just brilliant.
