The staff was very helpful, cordial, and cleared up a few things we didn't know about how to navigate the city. The room was clean and spacious, bathroom was lovely. Good parking lot on site. "Honesty Bar" is a great idea, more places should have them.

    Visiting mid-week I found the choice of places to eat away...

    Visiting mid-week I found the choice of places to eat away from the hotel was not great, some pubs were shut or not serving food and the Hungry Horse has a policy of shutting at 10 pm every day other than weekends - loads of Charity Shops but not much else however the easy access to Bath and Bristol by train make Keynsham a good place to stay if wishing to explore the area.

    Hotel had character and good staff.

    Hotel had character and good staff. Restaurant was good for an evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Room was disappointing but only really slept there and in this day and age no shower, that's a first for us........ Parking is an issue as very tight to get in and manuver and not enough spaces. The hotel needs to do a deal with the supermarket next door as plenty of spaces there but restricted to 2 hours. Keynsham is a very nice small town.

    Good local bars and restaurants, easy walking to the train station giving access to Bath or Bristol each about 10 - 15 mins. away. Brislington Park & Ride car-park is only 15 mins. drive away too.

    It was a little overpriced with not enough attention to cleaning detail Staff were however very friendly and helpful Our room needed to be locked with a key and there was a sign outside the room telling you how to lock the door The shower was a bit too small as I am a big guy but otherwise was ok Pleasant enough for an overnight stay

    Two lovely meals, one at the Lock keeper Inn other at The Brassmill. Both within walking distance. Town had various pubs and Wine bar which had live music every Friday and Saturday night. Lovely big park behind town. Walk or cycle The Monarch Way to the Bristol and Bath Railway path. A few style gates to negotiate and steps up to railway path. But worth it.

    Keynsham is a small historic town on the banks of the River Avon with many picturesque walks along it. A lot of decent places to eat and within easy reach of some gorgeous countryside. Would recommend the Lockkeepers pub for service and food

    The hotel had double-booked and initially told me that I had made a mistake and was not expected and that there was no room for me. Luckily, my verification email from Booking.com confirmed that I had made the booking, and the hotel had taken payment a day in advance. Since this event, I now always phone a hotel in advance to check that they are really expecting me, and I would encourage anyone else to do this, too. After this, my stay was OK.

    The building is very old and very authentic, and extremely charming if you like character properties. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and I had everything I needed. Breakfast was nice. The location is excellent for central Keynsham, and close to the station and bus routes.

    Location was good as we needed to get to Keynsham so was only a couple of miles away and most of that was accessible with a cross-field/next to canal walk. Property seems relatively looked after and good to have 2 bathrooms.

    Lovely little area, was nice watching the chickens run around in the field. I have paid more for a one room hotel so the cost was an absolute bargain. Loved the little touches which made it homely.
