    Very calm and nice litle town, close to nature as to the major hubs. Locals were particularly kind and friendly (though it is not a small village at all). Definitely recommended for seniors or families travelling with kids and/or dogs.

    Kidlington is a residential area just outside Oxford, but...

    Kidlington is a residential area just outside Oxford, but the bus service is amazing, and Oxford Parkway is a short bus ride (or even a walk if you less old and decrepit than us). We found it cheap and easy to travel to Oxford City Centre and to Abingdon by public transport. There are nice pubs and restaurants in Kidlington and we were able to buy nice food to cook from the Co-op.

    Great location to stay, close to Train station and Bus...

    Great location to stay, close to Train station and Bus terminus for quick and easy travel into Oxford city. Short drive to Blenheim Palace, beautiful villages like Woodstock, Chipping Norton and Burton-on-the-Water. Beautiful walks along the Oxford Canal or around the Batsford Arboretum.

    It seemed a decent place.

    It seemed a decent place. There was a lot of traffic at busy times, but that is to be expected so close to a city. Our accommodation was within a residential area, which was quiet and pleasant. Good supermarket not too far by car. Easy access to Oxford and handy for Blenheim Palace. Park and Ride also available into Oxford.

    Kidlingtonis a convenient place to stay for visiting BlenheimPalace and Oxford. An hourly local bus service enabled us to visit Oxford without driving. Sturdys Castle is located outside Kidlington set back on a busy main road.

    The hotel is situated on a main road about 3 miles out of Kidlington- no public transport so car needed. But it is also about 3 miles from Woodstock, at a cheaper price than many of their hotels, with guaranteed easy parking. Oxford is about 8 miles and the efficient Park and Ride about 5 miles- but beware of major road works at present (March 2024)

    The house 🏡 was clean and tidy with everything set up as you would in a hotel 🏩 settings. Barry our host kept us informed of everything so from checking in on the first day till our checking out was very helpful indeed. The property did exceeded our expectations and the location was really quiet as well so definitely good for families and the canal walks 🚶 every morning was amazing. We definitely will be back 💯..cheers 🥂.

    Having only ever stayed in hotels, I was a little dubious when my partner surprised me with a nights stay at this property for our Anniversary. As soon as we got inside, any doubts were quickly removed, the property was delightful. Spacious, light, clean and cosy. The highlight for me had to be the beds. In all my 40 plus years, never have I slept so well. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Location is fairly close to Oxford, which was our main goal for a couple of days. There is a walking distance to a nice Gurkhu restaurant (and some more places for lunch/dinner, which we did not explore), and just a few minutes by car to Kidlington Sainsbury's. Also, there is a walking along the canal nearby.
